SHANGHAI PHOTO VR EXHIBITION

The Shanghai Information Office has launched an online 3D exhibition titled “Shanghai”, which can be seen with the naked eye, for friends who love Shanghai. It provides an immersive experience on the latest developments and achievements of Shanghai. The 3D exhibition is based on the newest version of the Shanghai City Image Brochure.

The online exhibition has four sections: Exploration, Innovation, Gathering and Habitat. By scanning the QR code with their phones users can – through online roaming – visit the city’s landmark architectures, and experience its achievements in terms of the economy, science, technology, culture, sports, ecology, humanities and other fields. The virtual reality online exhibition with 3D technology serves as an extension of the physical photography exhibition into virtual space, breaking through geographical and time limits of the a physical photography exhibition, interacting with the audience through virtual space and creating a “never-ending” exhibition. Apart from making its debut at the Media Center of the 3rd CIIE, the online exhibition will also be available on the official website of the Shanghai Information Office, the online news center of the expo, and other platforms. It will be used for overseas promotions, as well.
