Ex Japanese PM attends ‘Amazing Shanghai’ forum

Jun 21, 2017

A cultural and innovation forum was held in Tokyo on June 11 as part of the “Amazing Shanghai” road show organized by the Shanghai Municipal Information Office.

Former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama spoke at the forum and said it helped the Japanese to know more about Shanghai and was good for mutual understanding between the two peoples.

Speakers from Nikkei Shimbun, the Association of Japanese Animations, Musashino Art University, Fudan University, and Asia News Agency talked about the development of cultural and creative industries and cooperation between Chinese and Japanese companies in cartoon production and marketing.

Nearly 100 people took part in the forum, including diplomats from the Chinese embassy in Japan. They also viewed design works, photographs and VR videos displayed at the forum.
