Expo volunteers

A local volunteer group of 51 cancer patients are helping fellow sufferers across the country visit the World Expo in Shanghai. The volunteers are all from the Shanghai Cancer Recovery Club, which provides accommodation and guidance for non-local cancer patients. So far, they have received 2,760 cancer patients from 31 domestic provinces and areas. The group was highlighted at an Expo press conference yesterday.

Up to now, 38,152 volunteers, including 106 expats from 24 countries, had completed their service inside the Expo site. Outside the site, 776,103 volunteers had completed their service at volunteer service stations.
