Xu Wei, the spokesman for the Shanghai Municipal Government and deputy director of the Information Office of the Shanghai Municipal Government, met the Japanese correspondent, Shigeru Eguchi, who has just been assigned to Shanghai by Kansai TV Station, on September 15. The two sides said they would strengthen communication to allow foreign correspondents to get an objective and comprehensive view of Shanghai.
